2. Core Social Networking Capabilities

  • Content Feed & Posts: The core engine for user-generated content. End-users can create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) posts containing text, image, and file payloads. Features an interactive comments section and a robust reaction system (Likes/Emotes). (Handled by PostsController)
  • Follow System: Implements social graph connectivity (Followers/Following) allowing users to subscribe to other members' feeds. Enables content discovery and personalized timelines. (Handled by FollowsController)
  • Community Groups: A hub for niche interactions. Users can create, join, and govern interactive community groups, fostering targeted discussions among members sharing common interests. (Handled by GroupsController)

3. Real-Time Communication & Engagement

  • Real-time WebSocket Chat: Instant messaging infrastructure utilizing SignalR for low-latency WebSocket connections. Supports both peer-to-peer (Direct Messaging) and multi-user group chats seamlessly. (Handled by ChatController and SignalR Hubs)
  • Push Notifications: Event-driven notification system that pushes alerts in real-time for pertinent interactions, such as post reactions, new comments, and new followers, driving user engagement. (Handled by NotificationsController)
